I sat with this man for an hour as he told me about his life as a former gang member and how he left three years ago to devote his life to Jesus. He broke down as he talked about his late-stage cancer and cried as he led a prayer, in which he told me that he was at peace. He then asked me if I could take a photo or two of him, so that someone would remember him. In spite of everything, his faith remained intact. It was one of the most poignant experiences I've ever had. This is why I shoot street. Because people like him deserve to be remembered. via http://500px.com/photo/103316645
